Unzip the downloaded archive.
Move Daydream Effect - Alpha.vst3 into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/.
Open your DAW and rescan plugins so it picks up the new VST3.
The zip also includes Daydream Effect - Alpha Standalone.app — double-click to run it without a DAW. It's notarized, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.
Add the plugin to a track in your DAW and click Connect.
Your browser opens the Daydream sign-in page (app.daydream.live) — sign in.
Copy your API key from that page and paste it into the plugin's API-key field.
The plugin validates the key and connects — you're live.
A plugin has no address bar to grab the key automatically, so it's a one-time copy-paste — the plugin remembers it afterward.
Want to run it on your own GPU? Point the plugin at a local open-source engine instead of the cloud.
