Get started with DreamMAX in Ableton

Session View only in this release — Arrangement View isn't supported yet. Drop the device on a track, connect, and hit play. It syncs to your transport in a few bars.

DreamMAX only works in Ableton's Session View today. Arrangement View isn't supported yet — clips fired from the arrangement timeline won't sync. Requires Ableton Live 12 Suite (the tier that ships Max for Live).

DreamMAX is the Max for Live version of Daydream — a .amxd device that drops onto a track in Ableton Live and shapes audio in real time alongside your transport.

Download DreamMAX
Keep the unzipped DreamMAX folder together. The device loads demon-bridge.js and the demon~ external from beside the .amxd, so dragging the .amxd out of the folder breaks it.
  1. 1Drag DreamMAX.amxd from the unzipped folder onto a track that makes sound in Ableton (Session View) — the track's audio is what DreamMAX regenerates.
  2. 2Click Connect. You'll need a Daydream API key — the device walks you through it the first time.
  3. 3Trigger Session-View clips on the track and hit play. DreamMAX listens for a few bars to sync, then snaps to the grid.
