Suno MCP: what it is, how to add it, and a music MCP server you can use today

Suno announced an MCP server in beta. Here's how it's set up, what it spends, how it differs from the unofficial "Suno MCP" servers, and a music MCP server that works in Claude and ChatGPT today.

Suno MCP is Suno's MCP server: it lets ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Claude Code or Cursor make songs with your Suno account, right in the chat. Suno announced it on 28 October 2026 as a beta with early access. You add it by hand in each app, as a custom connector or custom MCP server pointed at https://api.suno.com/mcp, and Suno notes that some apps only allow custom connectors on certain paid plans. Songs it makes spend your Suno plan's credits and are saved to your Suno library, the same as songs made on suno.com, where downloads follow your plan's limits: none a month on Free, 20 on Pro (as of 28 October 2026, per suno.com/mcp and Suno's help centre).

If you want a music MCP server you can use today, without a waitlist, Daydream's is live: in ChatGPT it's a one-click app from ChatGPT's own directory, and in Claude or any MCP client it's https://gen.daydream.live/mcp. Each song plays right in the chat, with its five stems and MP3 and WAV downloads; it makes instrumentals, royalty-free, with 5 free songs a month and no subscription.

How Suno MCP is added

Per Suno's page, every app takes the same URL, https://api.suno.com/mcp, added by hand:

  • Claude: Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector.
  • ChatGPT: Plugins, Add, Add custom MCP server. Custom MCP servers are only available on some ChatGPT plans.
  • Gemini, Claude Code, Cursor: as a custom connector or an entry in the MCP settings.

You sign in to Suno and approve the connection; there's no API key. Suno makes songs with vocals and lyrics, covers, extensions and remixes of songs in your library, and can use your own Suno Voice.

The unofficial "Suno MCP" servers

Before Suno's own, several servers were already listed as "Suno MCP", for example AceDataCloud's and SunoBoard's. They aren't Suno's: they reach Suno's models through third-party APIs, so your prompts and songs pass through another company, under that company's terms and prices.

Daydream's music MCP server

  • Live now, no waitlist. In ChatGPT, add the Daydream app from ChatGPT's directory in one click. In Claude, add https://gen.daydream.live/mcp as a connector; in Claude Code, claude mcp add --transport http daydream https://gen.daydream.live/mcp.
  • Songs in the chat, not just your library. Each song plays in the conversation with a player for every stem and MP3 and WAV download links; in Claude Code it saves the files you ask for straight into your project.
  • Every part on its own. Each song is made as five stems (drums, bass, guitar, keys, other) that add up to the mix exactly. Ask for new drums and that part is made again with the other four unchanged, and can be undone.
  • Royalty-free, yours. Cleared for commercial games, videos and streams on every account, Free included.
  • No subscription. 5 songs a month free, then 5¢ a song from credit packs that start at $3 and never expire. An agent with a wallet can pay 5¢ a song with no account at all.
  • Instrumental only. For sung vocals and lyrics, Suno is the one to use.

Which should you use?

For songs with vocals, Suno MCP, once you have early access. For instrumental music in the chat today, with stems you can change one at a time and no subscription, Daydream's. Both are added in a minute; Daydream's is one click in ChatGPT.
