Slice by
Where the slice points come from — transients, the beat grid, equal regions, or your own marks.
Transients cut where the audio jumps; the beat grid cuts on a note value; regions cut the buffer into equal parts; or you place the marks yourself. Each method has its own setting beside it — sensitivity decides how big a level jump counts as a transient, grid sets the note value each slice lasts, and regions sets how many equal pieces the buffer is cut into.
Why it matters
Match the method to the material. Transients suit drums, the grid suits anything already in time, equal regions suit texture — and Manual is what lets you fix the marks by hand.
